Keisha Lopez is an artist living in Nashville, Tennessee. Her work explores themes of transformation, femininity, and duality by creating liminal spaces rooted between landscape and psychological musings. The covert renderings of landscapes throughout her work are nods to her Mestiza heritage. It speaks on an emotive experience of the natural world. She hopes her work can remind the viewer their connection with nature and importance of a symbiotic relationship with world around them.

Lopez has a B.S. in Painting and Minor in Psychology, and is currently an MFT student at Lipscomb University further learning healing and processing of intergenerational trauma.

Within her creative and academic pursuits, she explores creativity as a mode of healing, growth, and neurogenesis. This involves distinct color palettes, weaving techniques, symbolic textile choices, and a deep-rooted fascination with the transformative power of painting, drawing, or other expressions.

My Mind Is a Garden.

Sometimes it feels desolate, uninhabitable and overgrown with cluttered thoughts.

It can spin back and forth through the seasons, but there are intuitive moments of color that have been passed across generations.

These moments carry my thoughts forward and remind me to clear the weeds that seek to overcome.

With each gentle act of care, my mind gets closer to the season of blooms
